Meet Leah!!

 

Leah has a delightful personality and an adorable face. At about 1 year old, she still has a lot of puppy in her and will make a fabulous companion!

 

She seems to be appropriate around other dogs but hasn't been introduced to cats.  She is a very outgoing and energetic dog.  Her butt and tail are always wagging and she gets excited when she meets new people. Therefore, homes with small children may not be a good fit for her.  Leah will definitely need a home where she will get walked every day.  After the first half a mile or so she heels fairly well on a leash.She is kennel trained, potty trained, and lays down in my backseat whenever we go somewhere. Leah is food motivated and will need continued training and challenges because she is very smart. She has the softest fur (on a dog), I have ever had the opportunity to cuddle. She loves to chew on bones and she prances proudly when she brings you something in her mouth.

 

She is still working on remembering her manners.  She barks when she first goes outside but is learning to sit and stay before she goes outside and after she comes back in.  She requires reminders that she doesn't need to jump against the doors.  She barks less and less the longer she is here and feels more comfortable. 

 

Leah's adoption fee is $300; she is spayed, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, as well as on prevenative heartworm & flea/tick!
